Ryan is playing T-Ball this year. He has really enjoyed it. He loves the fact that Daddy is the assistant coach & calls him Coach Daddy! Here are some pictures from his first game! He has improved quite a bit & had a couple of really good hits this past weekend!

Pink Boots are Made for Walkin'

At the beginning of April we watched my brothers' children while he went out with his wife. We watched their 6 year old girl & 2 year old boy. Our niece, London wore her pink boots that night. After we had our boys ready for bed, we let them play until their cousins went home. Nathan has been into putting other peoples' shoes on & trying to walk in them. As you can probably guess, Nathan find London's pink boots & put them on! It was such a cute thing, I couldn't pass up taking pictures. Nathan thought they were great!

Wow it sure has been a while since my last post! I guess life has just gotten away from me. I will try to get everything updated in the next few days.

These are just some fun pictures of the Ryan & Nathan. Of course Nathan, is our dare devil & a ham! One of his signature positions is putting both fingers in his ears & walking around that way. In this picture he kept putting binkis in his ears instead.

Nathan also makes some pretty silly faces...here is the proof...

Both of the boys love music. We don't have any kid instruments for them to use. But one day Matt & I were making dinner & the boys bring Ryan's Tinkertoy & Play dough bins out into the kitchen to serenade Dad & I while we prepared dinner.

I was very impressed with their imagination & creativity.

Easter 2008 in Santaquin

We celebrated Easter in Santaquin at Matt's Aunt & Uncle's house. All of Matt's family was there & my brother Steve & his family came too. After a yummy dinner, the kids went out into the field behind the house for a great Easter egg hunt. Grandma (Matt's mom) put the eggs together for all the kids, THANKS GRANDMA! The kids made out like bandits & it was fun to watch the kids look for eggs!

Easter Cookies!!!

Another tradition for Easter is to make sugar cookies & cut them out using spring-like shapes. Ryan wanted to help me make them & he is old enough that he does a very good job when he helps. He loves to help make the dough, cut them out & put them on the cookie sheet. But of course his favorite part is eating the dough!

Easter Eggs...A Family Affair!

We decided that it would be fun to color eggs for Easter with the boys this year. I think this is the first time we have done this since having the boys! Why? you may ask... I'm not entirely sure! Matt & I got the table covered & brought out the eggs, dye & the stickers of funny faces that came in the kit we bought. Ryan was sooooo excited to start that he just couldn't wait while we got things set up!

Ryan decided that everyone had to have their own color...of course he was green (his most favorite color ever!!!). I used pink (since I'm the only girl in the family), Matt used blue, Nathan switched between yellow & orange.

After the eggs finished drying, which luckily only took a few minutes, we brought out the stickers that had funny eyes & mouths. We each took turns putting funny faces on the eggs. I think this was Ryan's favorite part!

As we started cleaning up, somehow Nathan got a hold of the box everything came in...since he isn't a big hard boiled egg fan, he thought he would try the box out!

Story Time Fun

Our good friend, Sarelle, was in town from Vegas & she came over for a visit. Her little girl, Nikole, is just a few months younger than Ryan & her youngest is just a few months older than Nathan, so we had a perfect fit. While the adults were chatting & catching up with each other, Ryan & Nikole were playing. It got a bit quiet, which is never a good sign, & then we heard little voices coming from our room. I went to investigate & this is what I found....

Ryan & Nikole reading bedtime stories to each other in our bed. They took turns reading to each other. I saw this cute scene & knew it had to be captured on film!

I'm a big kid now!!!!

March 15, 2008 was a big day for Nathan! Just a day shy of 17 months & we could finally turn him around in his car seat. He is such a little squirt that he had a hard time reaching 20 pounds. He was still just a few ounces short when we turned him around, but he was really not liking facing backwards. So...we turned him around. The smile on his face tells the story of how excited he was/is to be turned around like Ryan!


Now you may be saying..."but I thought Nathan was taller than Ryan was at this age!", & that would be correct. The only difference is that Nathan is all torso & Ryan was all legs. So we turned Ryan around earlier, because his legs were really cramped! But now Nathan is turned around & life is good...not to mention that the passenger's seat can now be moved farther back!

Playing with Cousins!!

A few weeks ago, the boys & I went down to my brother's house for the day to spend with his wife & kids. It was quite the adventure. We had a lot of fun, & a lot of firsts....

All three boys were able to take a bath in a huge tub (after they all got haircuts of course)!

What a fun day...but mom was just a bit tired when it was all said & done.

Demolition Day!

Matt & I have been talking about getting rid of the half wall in our garage since we bought it. A few weeks ago we decided it was time to clean & sweep out the garage. I was in the middle of sweeping it, when we decided why not, let's do it! We are in the middle of cleaning the garage anyway. So Matt pounded away at the half wall. It is amazing what a difference it makes. Our garage feels a lot more open & gives us more space to move around between the steps & the car!

The best part is that Nathan slept through the whole thing!!!!
